Standard Chartered Pakistan Appoints Adil Salahuddin As New CEO

Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited has appointed Adil Salahuddin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director, succeeding Rehan Shaikh, according to a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.

The appointment was approved by the Bank’s Board of Directors and will become effective upon obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and clearances. Until then, Rehan Shaikh will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer.

Adil Salahuddin brings over three decades of banking experience, including 25 years with the Standard Chartered Group. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles across Markets, Coverage, and Transaction Banking, serving in multiple international markets.

While much of his career has been focused on Pakistan, Salahuddin has also worked in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, providing him with extensive regional expertise across the Middle East and Africa’s banking sector.

The leadership transition reflects Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team as it advances its growth strategy and serves its clients across the country.

The appointment was formally disclosed by Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited in its filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.
