Dubai, UAE: Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz and Chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, has been appointed to the Group Executive Committee (GEC) of VEON, in addition to his current responsibilities of leading VEON’s businesses in Pakistan. This strategic move aims to strengthen VEON’s alignment with its markets and bolster its ambitious digital services-driven growth plans.
VEON, a global digital operator headquartered in Dubai and the largest Nasdaq-listed company, operates in six countries, delivering integrated connectivity and digital services.

Since taking the helm at Jazz and Mobilink Microfinance Bank in 2016, he has ensured Jazz’s leadership as Pakistan’s top digital operator, serving over 100 million customers across telecom, banking, and entertainment platforms. His tenure has seen investments exceeding USD 10.8 billion and transformative advancements in the country’s telecommunications and financial sectors.
In recognition of his contributions, Aamir was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s highest civilian honor, for his impact on the telecom and digital finance industries.
