With over 40 years of experience in education and development, Ms. Naghma Rashid has dedicated her career to empowering marginalized communities and improving the financial inclusion in Pakistan. She served as CEO of DAMEN & Damen Support Programme for 32 years, spearheading initiatives that uplifted underprivileged individuals, particularly women, across eighteen districts of Punjab.
Under her leadership, DSP expanded through a vast network of offices, with a team of 650+ professionals delivering impactful microfinance services, entrepreneurial skill development, and income-generating programs. Her efforts fostered financial independence and social empowerment for women, driving sustainable change at the grassroots level. Currently DSP is providing financing to over 100,000 women clients with an outstanding loan portfolio of PKR 5 Billion.
Since retiring in 2020, Ms. Rashid continues to serve as Chairperson of the Board of Directors at DSP, shaping the organization’s strategic direction. Her legacy remains a testament to her unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and social development in Pakistan.
