In a significant step towards revolutionizing customer verification and onboarding processes, Askari Bank and truID Technologies have announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration, celebrated at a signing ceremony held at the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), aims to enhance customer interactions and security through the integration of touchless biometrics and a digital onboarding app.
The event was graced by prominent figures from NUST and Askari Bank, with Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro Rector for Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (RIC) at NUST, serving as the chief guest. Also present were Mr. Emmad Ahsan, Director of NSTP, Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Principal of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), Dr. Abid Rafique, CEO of truID Technologies, Mr. Ali Naqvi, Chief Digital Officer of Askari Bank, Mr. Jawad Khalid Mirza, Chief Information Security Officer, and Mr. Rashid Zaman Khan, Chief Information Technology Officer of Askari Bank. The partnership agreement was officially signed by Mr. Naqvi and Dr. Rafique.
