easypaisa Digital Bank Processes PKR 15 Trillion in 2025, Partners with Ant International to Expand Global Payments

Karachi: easypaisa Digital Bank has processed more than 4.5 billion transactions worth over PKR 15 trillion in 2025, marking a major milestone as it completed the first anniversary of its digital banking operations. The announcement was made at the bank’s Annual Stakeholder Dinner, attended by government officials, regulators, partners, industry leaders, media, and members of the easypaisa Board.

The event also marked a significant step in easypaisa’s international expansion with the launch of its partnership with Ant International’s WorldFirst platform. Through this collaboration, easypaisa customers will be able to receive cross-border payments and remittances from over 100 countries in more than 100 currencies, directly into their accounts. The initiative expands easypaisa’s reach beyond traditional remittance corridors such as the GCC, UK, and US, and is expected to benefit freelancers, exporters, and overseas Pakistanis.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja, who attended the event as Chief Guest, congratulated easypaisa on completing its first year as a digital bank. She reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting the digital economy, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision. Highlighting the country’s progress, she noted that accelerated digitization was aligning Pakistan’s economy with modern requirements and said the record growth in IT exports was a positive indicator for the country’s economic future. She also announced that the government plans to launch 5G services in Pakistan next year.

The dinner was hosted by Chairman Irfan Wahab Khan, Board Director and President Ant International Douglas Feagin, and President & CEO Jahanzeb Khan. The gathering reflected on easypaisa Digital Bank’s journey in advancing financial inclusion, digital payments, and innovation across Pakistan.

Senior government leaders, including Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance, and Dr. Musadik Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, were also present, underscoring the government’s support for a cashless and digitally enabled economy.

With one in every five Pakistanis using the platform, a 31 percent female user base, and transaction volumes exceeding PKR 15 trillion in 2025, easypaisa continues to position itself as one of Pakistan’s most globally connected digital banks, focused on building an inclusive, connected, and future-ready financial ecosystem.
