Karachi– Citi announced today the appointment of Habib Yousuf as the Citi Country Officer (CCO) & Banking Head for Pakistan. His appointment will be effective December 15, 2025. Habib Yousuf will report to Naveed Kamal, Sub-Cluster & Banking Head, Middle East & Pakistan and succeeds Ahmed Bozai, former Citi Country Officer & Banking Head for Pakistan.
Habib will be responsible for delivering the full value of the network to clients in Pakistan and fostering strong regulatory relationships. He will also be responsible for legal entity management and execution of the Franchise’s transformation in the country.
Prior to this appointment, Habib served as Regional Director for South Asia at British International Investments (BII), leading country teams across Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan. Before joining BII, he served in senior leadership roles at HBL including Head of Strategy; Regional General Manager for Afghanistan & Bangladesh; and Head of Financial Institutions where he managed cross-border operations, and key global financial institution relationships.
