Karachi, June 12, 2025 — The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the introduction of new formats for the issuance of electronic Proceed Realization Certificates (ePRCs) and Statements of PRCs (S-PRCs), replacing the existing V-148 and V-149 formats. This change is part of the central bank’s ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline foreign exchange reporting mechanisms.
According to a circular issued by SBP, the new formats will come into effect from October 1, 2025, and all Authorized Dealers (ADs) are required to ensure complete compliance by this date. While the formats have been revised, all other existing instructions related to the matter will remain unchanged.
The SBP has directed ADs to undertake any necessary system-related developments on a priority basis to align with the new reporting requirements. Furthermore, ADs have been instructed to disseminate the updated guidelines among all relevant stakeholders and ensure meticulous adherence to the new procedures.
The updated formats are expected to enhance transparency, improve data accuracy, and support the digitization of foreign exchange operations in the country.
