LAHORE: In a landmark move aimed at revolutionizing Pakistan’s agricultural sector, Karandaaz Pakistan has partnered with GrowTech, a leading AgriTech innovator, to enhance digital and financial access for smallholder farmers across Punjab. The collaboration is set to accelerate the adoption of smart agriculture practices and digital financial tools in underserved regions, fostering greater productivity, profitability, and resilience in the sector.
GrowTech, known for its tech-enabled approach to modern farming, will utilize its digital platform to provide farmers with critical advisory services, access to agri-markets, and connections to input suppliers in newly targeted geographic areas. The initiative aims to empower farmers to thrive in an increasingly competitive agricultural landscape.
“This partnership with GrowTech reflects our commitment to harnessing technology and finance to uplift Pakistan’s agriculture sector,” said Waqas-ul-Hasan, CEO of Karandaaz Pakistan. “By reaching farmers where they are – digitally and physically – we’re enabling a more inclusive, productive, and climate-resilient agri-economy.”
To bridge the gap between digital tools and on-ground support, the initiative will establish farmer facilitation centres in two new regions of Punjab. These community hubs will provide in-person support, digital training, and capacity-building programs. Local leadership will also be engaged through digital marketing and e-commerce workshops to encourage adoption and drive empowerment at the grassroots level.
Recognizing the importance of logistics in agricultural success, the partnership will also engage local logistics providers to streamline supply chains. This will ensure more reliable and timely delivery systems for farmers, ultimately boosting their market access and operational efficiency.
A key innovation under the partnership is the pilot launch of financing solutions through electronic warehouse receipts. This mechanism will allow farmers to store their produce and access financing against it, alleviating capital constraints during critical periods.
In a push to promote gender inclusion, the platform will also integrate livestock and health advisory services tailored for female farmers, ensuring broader impact across rural communities.
“Through its partnership with Karandaaz, GrowTech is digitally transforming agriculture by empowering farmers—especially smallholders and women—expanding rural market access, and building Pakistan’s leading platform for inclusive, sustainable, and technology-driven farming growth,” said Faisal Bilal, CEO of GrowTech.
This strategic collaboration marks a significant step forward in modernizing Pakistan’s agri-economy by leveraging innovation, inclusivity, and impact-driven investment.
