Telenor Pakistan Posts Rs. 33 Billion Revenue in Q1 2025

Telenor Pakistan has posted robust financial results for the first quarter of 2025, reporting an 8.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in total revenues, reaching Rs. 33 billion compared to Rs. 30.35 billion in Q1 2024.

According to the latest financial disclosure from the Telenor Group, the company also recorded a strong 14 percent YoY growth in service revenues for the January–March 2025 period, rising from Rs. 23.756 billion to Rs. 27.086 billion.

The performance was underpinned by a notable 12 percent increase in average revenue per user (ARPU) per month, attributed to improved macroeconomic conditions and a decline in energy prices.

Gross profit rose by 9.2 percent YoY to Rs. 29.811 billion in Q1 2025, up from Rs. 27.291 billion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, capital expenditure (CAPEX) surged by 21.5 percent YoY, reaching Rs. 1.703 billion compared to Rs. 1.432 billion in Q1 2024.

Telenor Pakistan’s adjusted EBITDA climbed to Rs. 14.941 billion, marking an 18.7 percent increase from Rs. 12.58 billion a year earlier.

For the full year 2024, the company reported total revenues of Rs. 123 billion (NOK 4,750 million).

Telenor Group’s Asian portfolio includes full ownership of Telenor Pakistan, a 55.8 percent stake in Grameenphone (Bangladesh), 33.1 percent in CelcomDigi (Malaysia), 30.3 percent in True Corporation (Thailand), a 55 percent stake in Easypaisa (Pakistan), along with regional offices in Bangkok and Singapore.
