KARACHI – In a groundbreaking move to support women’s health and financial well-being, JS Bank, through its women-focused banking platform JS Her, has launched Pakistan’s first dedicated maternity insurance plan. The initiative was announced in line with Mother’s Day celebrations and aims to provide financial relief during one of life’s most significant milestones—childbirth.
The newly introduced insurance plan offers coverage of up to PKR 100,000 for normal deliveries and PKR 125,000 for complicated deliveries or C-sections. Women between the ages of 18 and 50 are eligible to avail this coverage.
Atif Malik, Chief Operating Officer at JS Bank, emphasized the importance of inclusive financial solutions, stating, “JS Bank is committed to building financial products that support women at every stage of life. With the launch of Pakistan’s first maternity insurance under JS Her, we are offering care, confidence, and a safety net when it’s needed most.”
He added that this initiative is a step forward in creating a more inclusive banking ecosystem—one where every woman feels valued, protected, and empowered.
