Faysal Bank to Revolutionize Contactless Payments in Pakistan with Google Wallet

Karachi, Pakistan – March 12, 2025: Faysal Bank Ltd (FBL), one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Google Wallet, allowing Faysal Noor and Debit cardholders to add their cards to the global mobile payment platform.

The launch of Google Wallet in Pakistan on March 12th marks a significant milestone in the country’s digital payments landscape. With this integration, Faysal Bank customers can digitize their cards onto Google Wallet, enabling seamless and secure contactless transactions at millions of merchants worldwide, including those in Pakistan.

A launch event was held at Faysal House to commemorate this market-first partnership. Among the distinguished attendees was Siew Chen Way, Google Pay’s Head of Payment Partnerships, who expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “Faysal Bank has been at the forefront of digital innovation in Pakistan, and we are excited to collaborate with them on our market launch,” said Siew Chen Way.

The event was also attended by senior members of FBL’s Digital and Consumer Banking teams, as well as country representatives from the Bank’s technology enablement partners, Euronet and Thales.

To start using Google Wallet, Faysal Bank customers can download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store, add their Noor or debit card, and begin making secure, contactless payments instantly.

This collaboration reinforces Faysal Bank’s commitment to driving digital innovation and providing its customers with cutting-edge financial solutions, enhancing the overall digital payments ecosystem in Pakistan.
